Updating to Wilwood or Stainless Steel Brakes 2-Piston Floating CalipersWilwood 120-10937 floating caliper is a physical replacement for the D52 GM caliper. However, the 2" piston requires a change to the stock shim setup in the balance bar. Move one washer to the side of the bar that goes to the front master. That will decrease that side's pressure, offsetting the larger bore of the caliper.The Stainless Steel Brakes caliper A185R will replace the GM caliper with no modifications required. There will be about a 5% increase in efficiency simply because of the better location of the pistons relative to the axle centerline.
